screaming pain hunger?? COMFORT FORMULA.

on the advice of Health Visitor, naming some issues baby is having she advised me to cry comfort formula. got the cow &gate comfort formula today. first feed I gave was 3pm then another at 5 but didnt want to take much on that one.
Usually, she sleeps from 7pm til 11 where she has a dream feed usually. however this evening at 9.40pm she woke up crying then screaming like a screaming in pain type of cry..tried to soothe her but just couldnt calm her down so ended up giving her another feed of 3 ounces..im so worried this is because of the new milk? i thought it was easier to digest? :( im.just sad cos thought i had her in a good routine of going down at 7pm then her sleeping a good 4-5 hours at least.
she is nearly 16 weeks..surely, her gut must be improving by now? or I have I started her too late?

How well burped was she? Could she have a dairy allergy? What were the issues that necessitated the milk change originally?

@LouiseTrees
I always burp her the same after feeds just sat up and tapping back, shes usually ok..she hasnt woken up before as usually has a routine of the 7-11.
She seemed to be struggling with wind sometimes, she had periods of crying where couldnt console her. And afew symptoms of siknt reflux. Now im thinking i shouldnt have changed her at all :(

It might be different to her as the comfort milk is thicker, therefore it helps the reflux. It may just take a couple of days for lo to adjust to it. Don't stop it as of yet give it a few days and see how you get on x

It’s thicker ( so they take in less air when drinking) so maybe it’s just she’s getting used to digesting it.

From what I remember we went through this with ours. She has colic, would cry after feeds and was a nightmare to get wind up. She was on aptamil milk but that wasn't filling her so we was advised to try comfort milk as you say they say it's easier to digest and would help the colic plus they also suspected silent reflux but looking back I think it was just wind. We tried her on the comfort milk but like you it wasn't filling her so we then was advised to try the hungry baby milk as that's also thicker but we then used infacol for every bottle. After a while she went off the infacol and is still on the hungry baby milk at 5 months. What symptoms does she have to suspect silent reflux?
