4yo torturous hair washing

DD now despises having her hair washed it has become a screaming match and a torturous thing. She doesn't like it the water going on her face or her ears. Or something else, I don't know.......

I have tried getting a chair next to the bathtub and doing it like in the hairdressers. It didn't work..... half way through she put her head forward and all was ruined.......

I am open to any and all suggestions. Please! I'm desperate..... it's horrible

Forgot to add, we might try DH giving her a bath. Don't know.... might work as a novelty but not last

Is your child into dolls? I remember a friend who has a child with adhd found using a bath friendly doll with hair helped.

Also not sure if this has been suggested but found the Child Farm hair tangle spray sprayed into the Child Farms conditioner has really helped with the tangles quickly once you do manage access to her hair!
