Teething child driving me insane

My son is 18 months old and is usually pretty easy, happy, and very loving.

When he has teeth coming through he is unmanageable.

The days are long and stressful. I can't leave the room, he is very whingey and won't eat but the sleeping is the hardest bit.

He will not go to bed, cries in the night even when he put him in with us.

The restless nights make me so miserable and me and DH end up rowing.

I've tried everything. Can anyone relate?

Basically just want a moan and to know I'm not alone on the teething journey of hell

I can remember those days, they're tough aren't they.

What have you tried so far?

Oh yes, I remember those days and nights. I felt so sorry for my poor neighbors as we are in a semi detached. She would just scream and scream, refuse to have a drink and as for getting Calpol in, I couldn't do it until she was calmer. She was so clingy and I couldn't put her down. The only thing that calmed her was a bath and some teething granules. I also had to get some water in her by using a syringe as she shouted so much with the teething pain she would forget to drink anything. There were also a couple of ear infections along the way and she pulled her hair quite violently it made me worry. One evening she'd been screaming for so long I was absolutely desperate and I had to get her in the car and go for a drive. She basically went on hunger strike too. I managed to get a few quick showers once I calmed her. I put her in a baby swing seat with a harness. The one I have plays music too and has a bar at the top with toys hanging down. She had to be in the same room as me though. I eventually learned that she loved watching the Wiggles too on my phone while in the swing chair. That seeing chair and the Wiggles were a god send! And parsons teething granules. But I know, it is hell. And to think before she was teething people would ask me oh, what's wrong with her and I'd say I think she's teething 🤣
