My son is 7 year old and he cannot say "ch", "s", "r" . Like, for
"ch" and pronounce as "ga" ;for instance for "chair " he says "gair" and skips "s" sound in words that start with S, like tool for word stool. similarly he cannot say R.

I am not understanding what to do , he did take speech training but no use, now he is 7 year old and am bit worried that he might not be able to speak properly in future.
parents or speech therapists if any here, please advice.

Hi, I'm not a speech therapist, but my son has struggled with those sounds (he has verbal dyspraxia). What we had to do is first practice a sound in isolation. Then, you can practice it at the beginning of a word, end of word, and then middle of word. So first practice "Ch", then "chair" then "each" then "achoo" - actually I'm not sure that is the right order, but the point is to focus on one sound at a time, getting the sound right, and then slowly getting the sound within words. I guess it is tricky to get the isolated sounds correct, but you can try different ways to model the sound, describe how it should feel, where the tongue is within the mouth, look in a mirror, etc. Good luck! I've found that actually the sounds just tend to come over time despite how much speech therapy happens...

Also not a SALT.

When DD had SALT, they first had to check she could hear the difference, before working on her saying the sounds.

Then they showed her what to do with her mouth to make the sounds, talking about where the lips, teeth and tongue were.
