Can anyone recommend an online course for dealing with tantrums? I try to be gentle parent as much as possible and won't shout and scream whereas my partner is the opposite end of the spectrum and will go a bit overboard imho. He's not a reader and not particularly interested in reading up on it but has said he will happily subscribe to an online course we can do together. I could also do with some techniques to help myself and would be great that we have a joint approach for consistency. Any recommendations appreciated. Also any insta accounts or bloggers to follow? Thanks.

Shouldn't he be looking for a course if he's the one shouting and refusing to read to try and improve?

Hey sweetie, my gal pals and I are super into researching NVR - non violent resistance therapy. I'm reading a lot on it atm and it's really helping me understand my kids needs better and how me and my partner play a big role in changing our kids more "challenging" behaviours. I found this site the other day - looks like it's quite new - but the testimonials are really great! www.newleafnvr.com maybe take a look and see if it resonates.

One of my kids has ASD and the other ADHD, as does my partner - pretty intense at times..! But I'm thinking of reaching out to this guy as the NVR seems to give lasting change instead of bandaid-ing over the problem, you know? Smile

Hope this was of use to you sweetie x

BigLittleFeelings on Instagram are fantastic and their course is amazing too- it's for up to 5 years old and they have lots of helpful content on their Instagram page too. It's changed how I parent and my sons tantrums have lessened

Good luck :)
