My 8yo db has been diagnosed as having this and I'd really appreciate any info that I can get. I find it really hard to be patient with him and can't help feeling like he is just being naughty sometimes - I know that he's not but its really hard to understand it.

He gets hysterical over being "looked at" but of course this makes people look even more, a lot of the sympoms seem like autism but apparently it is quite different. And my dd (4) has always got on really well with him but is now starting to behave wierdly towards her, like trying to get her to touch his willy and wanting to look at her bottom, which creeps me out.

I'd be grateful for any info or advice that may be out there!

no personal experience or advice, but this article about Aspergers Sydrome touches on Pathological Demand Avoidance and challenging behaviour so may be of use.

Hi, there is a forum for parent of PDA kids, see link

ccgi.pdacontact.org.uk/forum/

It has some useful info in there, and if you register they have areas of the forum which are only for parents. I have a son with PDA and use this a lot for advice and help and support.
