Anyone else's DC regressing!?

When the schools closed last year/the first lockdown happened, my almost nine year old (then just gone eight) started to show a number of 'regression' type behaviours eg saying 'mama and dada' and saying 'duddle' if he wanted a cuddle etc! We've assumed it's just a natural part of life feeling difficult at the moment and a way of him seeking additional care (he's the eldest of three). However today out of nowhere he was carrying his teddy around that he's had since he was a baby (usually the teddy lives in his bed and he shows it no attention). He was carrying it around all day like he did when he was a baby-snuggling up to it and using, asking us all for a 'duddle'. We're not concerned as we're pretty sure it's just a strange lockdown (understandable) phase but I just wondered if anyone else has seen this in their DC!? He's also regressed it seems in regards to self care things such as remembering to flush the toilet etc, and his eating/table manors etc require ALOT more reminders!

Mine are older but haven't regressed. Although they seem to be missing out on vital socialisation with their friends.

Have you found the Preteens Board? If you post in there, you might get a few MNers with the same age children replying Smile
