Our 4 year old son has always been a handful however recently his behaviour is getting worse. He hits up spits at us and tells us to shut up. We take away his toys/ tele use the naughty step but his behaviour isn't improving. He won't go to bed on a night it's a battle to get him to sleep. Can anyone relate or have any advice on this!

That is quite extreme, I can see why you're worried.

Are you in the U.K.? If so, does he go to school or Nursery? What has his Teacher or Keyworker said about his behaviour?

If he's hitting and spitting, is this a new thing? Have you noticed a pattern to it, for instance after he's had screen time or if he's hungry or tired?

Yes we are in the uk at school he struggles with changes in routine and gets frustrated but has never bitten or spat at anyone. The spitting and biting is recent. We are trying to reduce sugar intake but apart from that not sure what else to try

Can I just ask how much sleep he's getting?

He's getting at least 10 hours a night
