2 yr old boy hitting/headbutting/kicking etc

Any ideas? I have a 2 yrd old ds who is really getting into the 'terrible'. He is constantly hitting/kicking/headbutting/pinching etc and I am constantly telling him off.

It seems just a negative cycle - how can I encourage him not to keep doing this? He just headbutt me this morning on my teeth - we both reeled from the pain! He's sorry when he's done it but can't seem to help it.

I know boys are a different ballgame (I have an older dd) but am struggling with this one - any seasoned mums of boys out there?????

I can only bump for you as I have no direct experience.

From what I have seen other parents do,
the key appears to be to consistently discourage him.
'No, we don't kick/bite, that's not nice' etc

It's a bit tedious but he should soon get the message.

thanks Daddy J

OK that's what I've been doing - would be nice to have some reassurance that I'm not missing a trick. I just feel that we are constantly telling him off......it must be a phase....
