14 mo preference for dad

I think I'm being overly sensitive here, but I'm wondering if anyone has any sage words of advice for my hurt feelings!! Since around 11 months my DS has shown a fairly clear preference for his dad (clear to me anyway). He follows him around the house when I'm playing with him, always wants to be picked up by him and often cries when he leaves the room. DH works from home at the moment, so is often in the house but not available to play and I wonder if this confuses DS. I go out to work but when I'm home I'm basically always with him. I feel I've got a really good relationship with him and love playing together etc, it's just if daddy is there to choose, that seems to be the option he prefers! Can't help feeling hurt and like all the other mums I know complain about the opposite problem!

My DH says I'm projecting, because I've noticed this since I went back to work and stopped breastfeeding...

Anyway, I know I'm being silly and this is hardly a big deal, but has anyone else experienced anything similar? Will it go on forever?
