What to do with 6 month old

Hi

I am battling depression and I have no idea what to do all day with my 6 month old.
I feel terrible as most days we just spend it in the bedroom playing on the play mat or in the chair.
Does anyone have suggestions.

I would love to spend some time outside but I have no idea where we could go or what to do.

Really feel for you as entertaining a six month old can be hard, especially if you have depression.

Going outside will get easier when the weather warms up a bit.

For now, could you put her in the pram or a sling and go for a walk each day? If you've got a park nearby, you could see if she likes the baby swings and you could feed the ducks if you have any. Getting out and walking might help you feel a bit better too.

Have a read of these activities for 6 month olds. Don't feel that you have to do all of them though. I'd just choose one that you like the sound of and see how that goes Thanks

I'd also have a look if any of the local petting farms are open, if you've got transport. Bet she would love a look at the animals Smile

Have a look on Facebook for some local mum groups (type your home town + mum into the search and there are usually lots to choose from).

They usually have people asking this same question, so you could either read the answers and go to a local group & meet other mums, or reply privately saying you are in the same boat and does that person fancy meeting up for a walk in a park.

There are also online classes you can do (baby sign or baby massage would be good ones for this age). Good luck, I hope you find something 💐

Aim to get out at leasrt once a day. A walk to the shops, a walk to the park. TRy some baby massage. (not for me but many get on with it.) .
