I have been trying desperately to teach my 5 year old son to blow his nose to no avail and he keeps sniffing all the time, its driving me to distraction as he seems to do it out of habit rather than necessity, can anyone please offer me any advise?

Ok, here is a really gross way to do it, but it works!

Get a recorder.
Put it right against his nose.
Tell him to blow through his nose.
Tell him when he plays a note he can have a chocolate button.
Wash the recorder out with Milton Steriliser.

Works a treat

show him with your nose. Block off a nostril and hold a tissue away from your nose. If he still can't do it, get a straw in a glass of water for him to try and blow bubbles.

Mine is still more disgusting Furball, although the straw thing is quite nasty.

Hijack - sorry. Furbally, the person I need to call to get a phone number for S is away for half term. I'll call her on the first day back.
