2.5 not napping please help!

Our 2.5 has completely stopped napping during the day even though she is clearly tired, and come late afternoon her behaviour isn’t good as she’s clearly struggling.

I’m at a complete loss about what to do. We have quite active mornings (outdoors, walking and playing). She has no screen time and sleeps well during the night. We tried calling it ‘quiet time’ and leaving her with books etc but this has stopped working.

Please can someone give some tips for getting her back into a good nap time routine where she will actually sleep?!

Have you tried both going in your bed?

2 to 2,5Y is quite a common age to stop napping, i mean, it would be odd for a 3YR old to nap... i imagine her body is still getting used to the change.

We take my LG age 2.5 out in the car to get her to sleep or we lie next to her in bed until she goes. Either is less hassle than a grumpy toddler for half the day lol. We will stop getting her to nap when she either literally won't sleep during the day or stops sleeping at night

I think 2.5 is early to stop napping. But my little boy just point blank refused to nap at that age. He does occasionally fall asleep in the afternoon in the car, but he's pretty much adapted to life without a nap now. We were gutted as that two hours was amazing!

My 2.5 year old stopped at 2 and point blank refused ever since. I think they make up for it and night well mine does he sleeps 7-9 some days.
