Drop lunch milk feed at 9 months?

Hi all!

DS is 9 months old and currently drinks 23-25oz per day and three large meals (as in two courses and finger foods).

The average day looks like this

7am - breakfast
9am - 6oz
11.30am - lunch
1pm - 4oz
3.30pm - dinner
6pm - 7oz
10pm - 8oz

He will only drink when sleeping. He’s always been this way so I don’t see it changing!

Anyway, the lunch time bottle is a bit of a struggle even when snoozing. As in already asleep - he will not feed to sleep. If he’s awake, you’d think I was trying to poison him.

What age did your kids drop this middle of the day bottle? Would three bottles at this age be appropriate, I’m guessing they would be about 18-20oz in total? He happily goes 11/12 hours overnight without one so I’m guessing 9-5/6 would be fine?

Any advice or experience welcome!

I would drop the lunchtime bottle too.

At the moment he only needs 20 floz which changes to 13.5 floz at 10 months and 10 floz at 12 months.

Once he's got used to that bottle being dropped, I'd stop the 9 am bottle and offer a snack and drink instead Smile
