Why has my 6.5 year old DD suddenly started wetting the bed again!

She has been dry at night since she was four but has wet the bed three times during the last five nights. Not just a dribble, but absolutely soaking the mattress. She has a big wee before bed and I've tried cutting down on fluid after about 6pm. She doesn't seem particularly stressed about anything much, she's a very laid back child, although she has mentioned a recurrent nightmare but she can't remember what it was about.

Any other ideas or could it be a urine infection? She's not sore.

Not sure but we have exactly the same problem at the moment with DS1. has been dry at night since 4 and half then started wetting the bed about 4 months ago - to be fair we have just moved and his changed schools so I'm putting it down to that but really don't know what to do - I see no sign of it improving.

Perhaps the bedwtting with your DD will right itself as quickly as it started?

Have you checked her for worms, they can sometimes cause bedwetting

Anything going on at school?

threadworms?

my dd1 started doing this recently (she's four but had been dry at night since before 3) it turned out to be a urine infection which was cleared up with antibiotics and she's been fine since. maybe a trip to docs?

Thanks for replies. She was dry last night, bless her, and so pleased. I think it upset her to wake up in a puddle.

I'll check for worms tonight. I also thought about infection but surely she would be a bit sore or weeing more during the day wouldn't she?

School is fine, no problems there as far as I know. Parents evening tonight so will find out.
