SALT questions

Ok so toddler has about 6 words he says in context but not awfully clear yet apart from go and oh.
Our weekly homework from SALT this week is to work on engaging with him more so doing things like taking it in turns to push the trains and I'm handing him cups one by one to stack and saying the colours. Both these tasks I'm talking but he's so concentrated he's not saying much back

The other thing is to get him really excited. He loves the recorder and gets excited so we do that together. She also mentioned bubbles so we are blowing those and saying 123 and hoping he says bubble nut so far he says nothing or says go. Does he need to learn to blow bubbles himself? Or just watch us and learn the words?

I read somewhere that they should blow the bubbles themselves as it strengthens the muscles in their mouth for talking.

My second is streaks ahead of my first intern is speech and is able to blow bubbles quite early on. I remember using this as a marker. My first is great and blowing bubbles and I turn his speech developed well soon after!

I'm trying to show him how to blow them but so far he's just putting it in his mouth. Well trying to lol.

Get a straw and blow bubbles into a bubbly liquid (or just water), that will help.
We used to do a lot of the SALT practice in the bath with DD.

We have been blowing into a recorder which he can do, is that good?
