Worried about 12 month old

I am starting to get a bit worried about my 12 month old and wonder if this is normal behaviour. For the last week he has gone from eating 3 good meals in his highchair to eating very little and trying to climb out as soon as I put him in. He is very clingy and wants to breastfeed almost hourly. He is also very unsettled and does not want to play. He will still laugh on occasion if we do tickles or peepo games etc but not as much as he used to.

Do people think this is likely to be a bug or is a clingy/difficult phase normal at around 12 months? He seems ok health wise, no temperature or diarreah although feels quite hot to touch and I tried calpol which did not help. I wondered if he could be teething but could not see any sign of teeth. What do people think could be wrong?

I’m not sure exactly but I’m in exactly the same boat here with my 13 month old. It’s been made worse by his 1 year immunisations and now his sleep has completely gone downhill too.

No advice really but I do remember with my dd that this is temporary! Hopefully they’ll be back to sitting and eating well soon!

Thanks Bella. He has been a bit better the last few days. I have come to the conclusion his molars might be bothering him as they are his next teeth due to come through, no sign of them yet though.

I’m thinking the same, it’s just come at a really bad time with his jabs too. Had a terrible night with him (hence posting in the early hours!!).
