5 month old won't take a bottle

My almost 5 month old is ebf and I really regret not giving her a bottle of expressed milk once a day when she was younger as now she refuses to take a bottle which I am desperate for so I can get more sleep. Do you have any advice please for her to take a bottle as I'm exhausted and would like my husband to be able to feed her sometimes? Thanks

Is it always you that is offering the bottle? She’s less likely to take it from you as the alternative (the boob) is still there.

Yea always me. My husband works a lot but I'll try and get him to try. Thanks

My DD was the same, in the end we waited until she was weaning and gave her milk from a zippy cup once she had mastered using one.

Thanks @attillathenun. Do you think I could try at 5 months before weaning or should I wait until we are doing weaning? Thanks

Might be worth a go! We only waited until weaning because we wanted to try getting DD to drink water with her meals and had pretty much given up trying to get her to drink milk from anything other than my boob. We use an avent cup but DD also likes the tommee tippee ones.

Thanks @attillathenun. Do I need to sterilise the tippee cup like I would a bottle do you know? Thanks

@mellowyellow6 yes, you definitely still need to sterilise it. Hope you get on ok 😊
