5am wake ups.

My 11 month old son has recently just became a little better at sleeping through the night, usually only 1 wake up.

But now he's started waking up at 4.30/5am every morning!

He goes to bed at 7pm so he's only really getting about 9 hrs sleep during the night if you include his one wake up.
I can't leave him to it as he gets so upset if I'm not there in a few minutes after he wakes so he's up and I usually give him a bottle and a cuddle. Sometimes he falls back asleep but not very often.

He naps for an hour around 8am-9am. Then he has a 2 hour nap in the afternoon 12-2.
I've tried gently waking him around 4am as I've heard this can help them get into a new sleep cycle but hasn't worked.

Does anyone have any advice for a really tired mum? 😩

There's quite a long gap between his 2nd nap and bedtime so he may be overtired? Try shifting the 2nd nap a bit later, so he's got max 4hrs awake time before bed or bring bedtime forward a bit, you'd be surprised sometimes even though they go to bed earlier they sleep longer!
