Fast flow teats?

Hi, just looking for some advice. My little one is currently 10 weeks old but we already upped him to the tommee tippee medium flow teats when he was about 6 weeks old as he was struggling. He has been brilliant with them up until now but all of a sudden seems to be struggling again.

We tried to change him to the vari-flow but it was taking him an hour to have one ounce. Not sure if he is still too little for the fast flow? I know when it says +6 months is just guidance but do is it worth trying them? Has anyone else tried the 6m+ teats when they're only 3 months old?

Are you breastfeeding? I say thing because you need to stick to the lowest flow as it's more like your milk. I found I stuck to the lowest flow throughout.

@Hirewiredays nope, he is bottle fed. I did try breastfeeding but I wasn't producing enough milk, so it was better to switch to bottle feeding. It makes sense with you saying it is best to keep them on the lowest flow though. Our little one seems to be better of the medium flow again the past couple of days so fingers crossed he was just going through a bit of a lazy phase!

You could sterilise a pin and make the hole bigger with that. We found the medium too slow and the fast too fast! So we compromised that way and he's been on the same teats for months now x
