My 22month old has decided that she no longer wants to get in the bath.(for a week and half)she screams. B4 she loved it we have tried daddy in the bath too no luck. Tonight I am going to try bath earlier. She just wants to get in to bed and have stories and milk. Any advice?

Give her half her milk before her bath - she may be too eagerly anticipating it.

have bath in the morning instead?

Milk before worked for us! DS (20 months) gets about 1/3 of his milk before bath (actually in the kitchen, downstairs), then we walk upstairs, he has his bath and then he gets the rest of his milk before he goes to bed

I would try bathing in the morning and maybe not bathing every day. My ds's (5 & 2) have a bath twice a week( more if really dirty!!) because they both get so over-excited and I do it in the morning when we're all fresh.

DS went throught htis a few months back. Became petrified of the bath for no discernable reason. We stopped baths at night (tiredness made it worse) and went to infrequent baths in teh daytime when absolutely necessary. Eventually he came through it - he still isn't keen on sitting down in the bath but we manage to get through without any wails!

It's supposed to be really common, the advice I had was to respect the fact that he was obv scared and not force daily baths on him. DH cracked it by throwing lots of bottles in the bath for him to chase after and throw back.

Thanks I think I will try the morning and less often.
