Hi
Is it common for a little one to get separation anxiety at 14months? I was expecting a little earlier than this but now she screams everytime we drop her off at nursery. she goes twice a week and has always loved it since she was 5months.
She is fine with family and even my friends she doesnt see very often.
nursery say she settles soon after but when i go to collect her she runs straight to me and clings on
Do you think its sep anxiety or that she maybe doesnt like nursery or some aspect of it?
I hate leaving her screaming everyday and dont want her to be unhappy
any opinions/ideas would be great
thanks

Yes, it's a very common age. Most of my friend's children seem to be peaking with separation anxiety shortly after a year. DS is still in the thick of it at 16 months - he used to play happily in his cot for up to an hour when he woke, he is now screaming within a minute of waking. V frustrating but sure it's just another of those delightful phases!
