Breastfeeding and sleep

Hi
I have been reducing my breast feeding in the day time. Little one has water instead and three decent meals throughout the day and maybe a yoghurt or fruit in between. He has a nap 1-3 about two hours, but since I have took out the last breast feed in the day time before his nap he is waking 1-2 twice a night which is killing me. I’m. still breast feeding at 7pm and throughout the night, before he slept through or woke maybe once occasionally.
I’m not sure if it’s due to the nap time or the reduction of my milk.

Any advice or thoughts would be most grateful.

How old is your son? It might be that he's not ready to drop the day feeds and that's why he's waking up to make up his milk intake overnight
