I'm impressed! I was incapable of doing a routine until dd was 6 months, when solid food kind of made it happen .

At four months my routine with dd was feed when she was hungry, put her to bed when she was tired, cuddle her when she needed cuddling.

She fell into her own routine for feeding and sleeping when she was about 8 months old, I guess.

abidabidoo no need to be impressed ....we have no routine at all!!! at the moment but as everyone keeps asking me if we do ,i thought id find out what others do

fed at 6, he goes back to sleep, we get up about 8 or 9 , fed again at 10, bit of a play, bit more napping, wakes up about 11.30, bit more play, nap again, wakes for 2pm feed.

nap at about 4pm, wakes up when he hears DH get in from work, about 5pm. another feed at 6pmish, naps again from 7-9.30ish, last feed between 10-10.30pm. then will either lie in bed quietly eyes wide open till about midnight, or will go back to sleep, depending on how long his daytime naps have been.

summary, generally feeds every 4hrs, sleeps thru the night and has plenty of power naps in day, takes aftere me i think!

that's all the right then! I wouldn't worry about it tbh - if you feel like you want one, then that's good, but if you just feel like everyone else has one, well, have they really? or are they just pretending!

I did find that introducing solids, which she took to as if she'd been starving for 6 months , so we moved up to three solid meals a day quite quickly really sorted it all out, with naps slotting into a pattern around the meals.

DS 16 weeks and no routine here. Some he naps, some days he thinks its for wimps. Feeds at irregular times too.

Mine had a routine at 4mo but only for food, not for sleep or naps etc. I FF fed him though from 6 weeks so probably made it abit easier.

Fed roughly at 7, 10am, 2, 5.30ish then dream feed at 10.15. (He did wake in the night but normally only once anytime between 3-6am)

Sleeps were all over the place, though now he is 5 months he normally has 30 mins around 9, hour or so over lunch, then 30 mins just before 5) Very GF I know but just worked out like that.

DS1, well that was a completely different story, he did completely his own thing until I weaned him
