Is this normal for a 3 year old?

My three year old has been doodling like this. Just turned 3. Should I be worried? Writing is tiny. Nursery haven't raised concerns in general.

I don’t know if I’m missing something but why would you be concerned? She’s imitating writing. Mine both did it before they could write properly.

Praise her for mimicking writing. She has filled in a full paper without moving out of the line, something to be really appreciated.

I'm confused as to why you'd be concerned? That looks quite cute to me.

Looks very uniform and straight 👏
I'd be really proud at a perseverance at writing so much

Hey all, thanks for your replies. I am used to seeing kids just draw large letters and I don't know, this felt very small and neat to me. If it's a good thing, I'm obviously happy and proud of my LO - but I've just never seen a three year old write before I guess?! Again thanks for the reassurance.

Hi, it is called 'emergent writing' and is totally normal. You could look it up, you'll see lots of tips as to how to promote it. It's basically the first steps of writing.
