Still has the odd alert period, but for the last few days has been napping for hours at a stretch, waking only to eat (bf on demand), not even for wet/dirty nappies...

Is this just my previously wakeful, short-attention span dd settling down into a decent daytime nap pattern, or should I be concerned?

All the laundry is done, the kitchen is clean and the dishwasher empty... and she's still asleep

as long as she is alert and happy in her awake time i wouldn't panic
sometimes they can get more sleepy if they are sickening for something - maybe a cold but if she doesn't have a fever don't worry at the mo'
at 8 weeks they can start to settle into more of a "routine"

Our DS used to have some phases of sleeping for a long time, seemed to coincide with being about to make a big step like growing, or starting a new skill. As long as your DD is eating, making wet nappies and is alert when she's awake, then it sounds fine. enjoy the silence!

(unfortunately, it all balances out - DS used to then have phases of hardly sleeping at all.....grrrrr)
