What are the best first shoes?
My little one is nearly 1 and is walking everywhere, just not sure on what shoes to get him which he can actually walk in?

I would suggest going to John Lewis or a similar department store for a fitting . We found Start Rite to fit our son best .

Barefoot shoes, nothing solid. Softer is better and nothing that binds the leg too tight or goes over the ankle.

I got my 1 year olds at Clarks. They fit them and are soft and flexible.

Comfortable shoes are hard to find even for me, and even more so for a child. I am guided by the price and by my son's reaction. He likes to run, so it must be soft and durable. We don't have a favorite brand, we usually take those that our son likes.
