never with me or hubby!!!!!!

dont get me wrong...so glad LO is almost laughing but it would be nice if it were with one of his parents first!!!!!

LO never laughs the way he does with MIL...half hour non stop full on...

is it cuz she is novelty?? or are we crap parents??

may be she thinks you MIL looks funny??? i know what you mean though. dd1 did this and it broke my heart. its nothing to do with being a crap parent though.

Babies laugh at things that feel slightly unsafe. He obviously feels safe with you.

Theres obviously some deep-seated root to Mother In Law jokes... they are such inherently funny creatures that even a 12 week old can see it.

OK, maybe not. It'll be the novelty

Don't be sad! Sounds like an indication your LO will have a GSOH.

bumbly · 12/10/2007 10:52

Good Sense Of Humour.

obviously you don't read personal ads. (neither do I but it crops up in Radio4 dramas all the time )

I think it's because she's a novelty. Thinking about it, when DS giggled it was often when we were pulling silly faces, etc. Perhaps your MIL looks like that all the time? (from a baby perspective, at least)
