My son is 23 months old and has all of a sudden started waking at night.
He's always slept through the night since he was born, but now wakes up hysterical, tending his body, throwing himself about mainly with his eyes closed, crying, this episode only lasts about 15-20 minutes then he goes back down.
I have two other children 6 and 8 who never went through this, this is all new to me!
It's like nothing I do soothes him, do I just let him cry it out aslong as he's got a clean nappy, everything he needs or? Did anyone else go through this and how long did it last?

He is also a head butter when he's upset which my other two never did either.
He will headbutt nothing around him out of pure frustration when he's upset,
