Any advice for toddler with convergent squint?

My 2 year old has a very obvious inward squint in his left eye.

Diagnosed as left convergent squint.

His now wears glasses (long sighted prescription of Right-+4/1x90 Left +4/1x90).

The glasses mostly corrects the squint which is great.

But sometimes he can still have the squint wearing his glasses.

When he removes his glasses his squint is very obvious.

He now has eye tests every 6 months.

Doctors say the type of squint he has cannot be corrected by wearing a patch.

My questions are:

Is there anyone else here dealing with squint in their toddler or child?

Can they grow out of it?

When, if at all, would the hospital consider doing cosmetic corrective surgery?

(I had similar squint as kid, and surgery corrected it).

Any advice appreciated.

Hi lovemama2018. Sorry not to be able to offer any help - but I saw your post and am very interested to hear what people say as I think I have a similar problem with my daughter. She is only just 2 and I wouldn’t say her squint is very obvious but there is definitely something going on with her left eye.

Would you mind sharing how you got it diagnosed? Was it via GP? Optician? I’m wondering if she’s too young to have it looked at (can’t really imagine her being compliant for any tests!) but also keen that it gets addressed as soon as poss if it might cause an issue.

Any advice very much appreciated. And apologies for hijacking your thread.
