Teething - how long does it last

My LO has been teething for just over 2 weeks now. The bottom right tooth seems to be coming through but has only just cut and isn't fully out and the left tooth is visible in the gum but hasn't come out yet.

I've googled it and it says that a tooth can typically take up to 8 days but this has been going on a lot longer. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how long their LO's teeth took to come through.

Months? Teething comes in waves. My ds's front bottom 2 cut through on my finger (ouch) when he bit me. The next morning the gum had grown over. That night he bit my arm and they cut again! Took a good week for them to stay through the gum and weeks till they got all the way out. He's bitey again so next are probably on the way. Im being vigilant about where his mouth is lol.
