Pointing out things in pictures

At what age were your dc able to point out specific things in pictures - eg if there's a picture of a farmyard, and you say 'where's the pig?', they point at the right place?

Just trying to find out whether dd is a genius or not [enormous tongue-in-cheek emoticon]

lol
dd2 was doing that with cat, dog, car etc when she was 16 months (and she was saying the words)

MamaG · 09/10/2007 08:56

DD did it from my womb.

Hi, it's lovely when they start doing that isn't it. My dd could point a few things out when she was under a year and now at (just) 15 months she can point out up to about 20 different objects. Still hasn't said any of them though (apart from bee!).

How old is your dd botbot?

Jessicatmagnificat · 09/10/2007 09:00

DD is 11mo and can usually point out a small number of clearly defined objects once we have read a book once or twice, and has been able to do this for a couple of months?

Botbot · 09/10/2007 09:11

She's 2 months.

Nah, only joking. She's just 15 months, so it looks like she's about right for her age. Damn
