My almost 4 year old ds is not great at holding conversations. If someone asks him a question, he will often look at me and ask me or says I don't know. Basic things such as 'how are you?' are fine, he will respond, also will answer basic questions. He goes to nursery full time and they have no concerns. Behaviour wise, he is lively, plays with other children well.
I'm thinking of taking him to a SLT but has anyone else had similar experiences? His elder sibling was very chatty and conversational at this age.
