Pram Hater - Any hope?

My DS is 13 weeks old and we’re having pram troubles. We have an iCandy Peach. For the first few weeks he’d go in no bother and sleep, then after that he’d refuse to sleep in it and just lie staring and now he cries whenever we attempt to use it. We’ve tried both pram top and car seat on it with no joy. I think he’s too little at 13 weeks and under 13lbs to switch to the pushchair attachment but as a FTM I’m a bit clueless on it.

We have a Baby Bjorn carrier which he’ll settle in but doesn’t sleep well in (plus on hot, sunny days it’s sweaty and hard to protect him from the sun) and a wrap sling that he hates. I can’t afford to buy any more and the sling library isn’t running.

I really want to be able to take him out in something on wheels. Can a pram hating baby become a pram tolerator with perseverance/adjustments or do they generally not change their mind on it?

Thanks!

My son hated his pram but he had reflux and allergies so being vertical in a sling was much more comfy for him. By the time he was weaned he was happy to sit in the pram but did not lie flat in it-even when sleeping.

Have you raised his head at all just in case this is the case?

He's a bit refluxy too but has no issue lying in his crib at night, on the gym etc but maybe the movement plus the reflux I suppose. We've not tried raising his head yet but that's a good idea of something to try, thank you Smile

Is it comfy inside the carrycot? I added a sheepskin inside ours then a Muslim over the top and he now takes most naps in it daytime happily.

Hmm probably nothing special comfort wise so will give that a go Smile Thank you

There is hope !!!!

My 3 month old hated the Pram too( also the icandy peach ). I got a mobile for it and that helped massively . Once he was closer to 6 months we switched to the push chair attachment and then he loved his Pram .

The mobile I got( high recommend) :

We swapped to the pushchair attachment at 12 weeks, he weight about 12lbs but he preferred it so much, we have it almost all the way laid back. Not sure why he prefers it but he just does and he's fine size wise, straps in all snuggly. Maybe try that so he can have his head a bit higher than his tummy

We just did the at the weekend and trying to get out every day for progressively longer. He actually fell asleep in it today which was amazing! Fingers crossed it continues :)
