Hi I was wondering if you could put my mind at rest

Our DS is just over 9 months old and he mastered crawling and pulling him self up etc but I am concerned about his speech development we only get grunts and noises rather than anything like ma ma or da da he don't even seem to get waving or any pointing yet.

I know it's likely fine and my DW keeps telling me not to worry but it's hard not to.

Apart from this loves toys and books

Thanks

DD1 and dd2 didn't really babble, nor were they especially early to say their first word.
However by 15 months they were speaking in sentences and had huge numbers of words. DD2 in particular used to come out with lovely phrases.

Ds babbled loads and was much slower to talk. He was the only one who did the conventional babbling pretend conversation where they stop and listen to you and reply.
