I’m making this thread for my sister. My niece will come out with extreme lies and I’m concerned she actually believes them sometimes. My sister is worried that when she starts school next month she will say something and the school will contact social services. She says that her mum chucks her in the river. She will tell you that her mum didn’t give her dinner the night before and then admit she was lying. She says how a shark jumped out of a lake and her mum smacked it and it went away. Me and my mum looked after her for a day and for the entire day it was lie after lie. When my sister came to pick her up that day, my niece said right in front of us that me and my mum gave her a dummy when we didn’t. She was misbehaving the other day because she wasn’t getting her own way and threatened my sister that she would tell everyone her mum smacked her. Does anyone have any advice on how to sort this?

I also want to add that when I was looking after my niece for the day she also believed she was here the night before and left a toy which she wasn’t. When I said she wasn’t over here the previous day she was confused.
