Im a first time mum and have a nearly 4 week old. Obviously I love him to pieces but he will only sleep on me day or night. I do try to put him down but he cries constantly until picked up again. Is this normal?

Yes, totally normal!

For some of them it is normal. What about a sling/wrap, would he sleep in that? I would also persistently experiment with the pram - on his side, slightly upright, when happy, when sleepy, when full/slightly after feeding - see if he would settle while moving/walking.

I'd give him 15 minutes of crying before I'd call it a try, then try again later.

While some babies are not happy in a pram, many parents just give up if the baby cries for 2-3 minutes. Pram is a great thing, can take long walks, healthy as outside and all that PLUS you do not have to carry a heavy baby :)

Yup !!! My DS slept on me until he was 10 weeks old ( and I tried everything).

Suddenly he was fine with his snuzpod (but only at night) but he still napped on me during the day until he was 7 months old .

He’s 17 months now and sleeps great in his own crib and own room !

Totally normal OP! My DD is nearly 8 months old and is only just starting to nap in her cot (she’s a total boob sleep addict), though she slept in her own bed at night since birth luckily. What worked for us at night was warming her Moses basket and putting my clothing in it to make it smell of me, as well as giving her a nice relaxing bath before bed. Enjoy the sleepy cuddles while you can I say
