Teaching 'table manors' to a 27MO

As above really. My 27MO learned to use a spoon for herself pretty early (about 12MO) and a fork not long after but I swear she's messier now than she was when she had just learned Grin She messes about and scoops stuff up with her spoon and empties it onto her hand Hmm or she just reverts to using her hands. She's a bit of a pain shoving her utensils or food into mine or DH's face or getting out of her seat halfway through dinner etc. Anyone got any opinions on exactly how much I SHOULD expect of her at this age and how to encourage good manners? I don't want to be pushy and to me she's still at an age where she'll still enjoy experimenting with food etc and will likely grow out of this but then again I don't want this to be even more of an epic battle by school age for example if we haven't addressed it and it continues. Also, any recommendations for cutlery sets with knives that actually work? Because the kiddie ones we have all seem to be totally useless Haha so she's struggling with that too. TIA x
