DS3 has just started to learn how to pick up toys - so he can be propped up on the sofa with a few toys on his knees

It's great isn't it, and such a relief to have a few moments to do what you want to do! Get's even better when they can sit up confidently as well!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 27/09/2007 13:18

yes I don't think it's going to be too long before he's sitting up properly on his own. DS1 and 2 were both about 5 months when they managed it and DS3 is already better at sitting "propped up" that they were at the same age.

I find DD2 is so entranced by whatever DD1 is up to that she doesn't seem to need that much additional entertainment...epsecially compared to DD1 at that age. Mine is 15 weeks. It's such a cute age!

wahoo...

but i would not be leaving an 18week old on a sofa...

they develope so quickly and it will only mbe a matter of days (maybe weeks) before he falls off the sofa...

feel free to arrange similar cusions etc of the floor though

cruisemum1 · 30/09/2007 15:32

nannyl - i used to let my ds sit on sofa. He never fell off! I am sure as amum of 3 that the poster will be OK!
