I took my DS to the park once and stood in front of him facing him and I moved backwards holding his hand and slowly letting go. He started to take a step towards me unaided and I took step back but had my arms out so he could hold it if he wanted to as he was scared. I did that one step at a time taking a step back as he took a step forward towards me and then next minute he started to enjoy it. When we got home I did that a few more times over a couple days and he started to walk. I don't know if the timing was right or by doing what I did at the park encouraged him I don't know but I think it helped. Good luck.
