Toys for my 6 month old

Hi. I'm looking to get some new ( or second hand) bits for my lb. Hes not crawling yet and is having a go at sitting. I feel we've exhausted the gym. Hes got all sorts of soft toys that rattle squeak and crinkle. Hes not up for blocks yet ( we have a small set)
His favourite thing is me....., singing playing tickling.... which I love but sometimes I'd like him to play on his own for a few.
Now hes fed up with the gym he doesn't have a 'favourite' . So I'm Just looking for recommendations really. Is there a toy your lo loved?
Whenever I see something that looks fun it's aimed at 2 years +🙈

Stacking cups (he may not be able to stack them yet but will love knocking down towers you build)

This was my daughter's favourite toy at that age - she couldn't sort the shapes at 6 months but loved playing with the shapes and the box.

NOTHING will replace face to face interaction at this age and take it from someone who adopted her girl after she was past this stage you will miss them hanging on your every word and looking at you gooey eyed once they're past that stage so enjoy it whilst you can. I would say anything sensory though (random household objects like sponges/foil/brushes etc and those chiffon scarves that baby classes use) and simple puzzles/shape sorters and another vote for stacking cups. Stacking cups are so versatile. Mine has done just about everything imaginable with hers. Started off just bashing them down and filling them and unfilling them with objects and hiding objects in them which is a really important part of developing thinking skills etc. Then she could stack them in a tower not much after she turned 1 and then she started pretending to drink from them and giving her babies drinks from them. Anything that's really versatile like that will really stimulate them at this age and get their creative juices going. Musical instruments like drums/xylophone etc are also great. We avoided too many things that just makes a noise on pressing a button tbh as they just teach a child to seek that sensory experience rather than use any kind of skill. We did have the v tech Walker and table though to encourage her to stand etc but we got rid after she turned 1.

Jumperoo! Its replaced his gym. Also lamaze toys are good. My DS will play with them for ages on a mat.
