Silent reflux- Omeprazole not working

Hi,
DS has been diagnosed with silent reflux and prescribed Omeprazole. He is on day 7 of taking this now and I have not seen any improvement.
Should I give it more time? I feel like I should have seen some improvement by now :(

DS2 had terrible reflux. The projectile vomit and inhaling vomit in lungs kind of reflux and were were given lansoprazole (very similar to omeprazole) and and ranitidine it didn't make any difference or to be clear. Not taking them would make him worse but taking them would not make him better.

Now, 11 years later, I wish I had just persevered without any medication because all this acid and pump regulator drugs messed up his microbiome and he has now severe allergies, asthma and bowel issues.

How old is your DS?
