16 month old can't crawl?

This is a strange one and I'm probably over worrying but still I thaught I would see if anyone else has experienced this. My 16 month old made no effort to move until he was 11 months old when he started to bum shuffle, he then walked at 14 months. He is a confident little walker now and is starting to climb stairs etc HOWEVER he still can't crawl. I got him a play tunnel and he couldn't fathom it, even watching his big brother and sister crawling through it, I put him onto all fours but he just stayed like that for a couple of seconds and then stood up and tried to walk through the tunnel? I've never had a non crawler before, will he catch up in his own time or should I be getting help for him?

If he can climb stairs that's more or less the same motion so I'd suspect he's capable of crawling but just doesn't want to. I wouldn't worry if he can walk with a steady gait x
