Feeding less
6

hrbx · 30/05/2020 21:22

So bare with me while I explain 😂

My little girl is 16 weeks old

She usually had
7:30 - 7oz
10:30 - 6oz
13:30 - 7oz
16:30 - 7oz
18:30 - 7 oz
21:30 - 6oz

The past two days she's gone to having
7:30 - 7oz
13:00 - 7oz
18:30 - 7oz
21:30 - 7oz

She's still sleeping through the night so obviously can't be hungry and is napping slightly less but no crazy changes with those

Is this normal? Feel like I'm being a stereotypical first time mum 😅

Thanks in advance for any help / advice

Was she finishing all the bottles to begin with and is she finishing them all now?

@NuffSaidSam

She was finishing all but her half 10 which she'd finish at least 4 or 5 oz and then her last bottle which tbh she was just using to settle herself to sleep

Now she's guzzling them all

If she is following her growth chart for weight and length I'd not worry in the slightest. Internet says At this stage your baby may be drinking up to 6 to 8 ounces of formula per feeding every four to six hours — but limit the total intake to no more than 32 to 36 ounces per 24-hour period

I think she's drinking about the right amount, unless she's very big? Keep an eye on her weight and see how she goes.
