6 month nap refusal

Why has my 6(nearly 7) month old started throwing tantrums when putting down for a nap?

Within the last two weeks she is refusing to be put down for a nap. She will scream until she's blue in the face for 20 mins plus.
She can go up to 4 hours with no sleep or she's fed to sleep (she's bf)

Mine is doing exactly the same, almost overnight.

I'm bracing myself as my 2.5 year old (perfect sleeper) went through all of this at the same ages.....excellent sleep, then not great, bad, worse, awful (ie waking 10 times after I put him down at night) back to better, good, amazing... then back through cycles again. But he got there in the end (with a little gentle nudging from us!)

Anyway my dc2 (both kids ebf by the way, so I do use it as a tool sometimes....) .... well she has gone from being a great napper to refusing literally overnight this week. I believe it's a developmental thing, mixed with a healthy dose of FOMO. I think we just have to maintain a steady nap routine and wait it out.

I think you’re right. I came across a little chart today and it said between 28.5-30.5 weeks separation anxiety peaks. Which explains ALOT. DD is 29.5 weeks. How old if yours?
