Is this normal? My only-just 11 month old has just learned to crawl (like last week) but she seems to hate it. She'll do a few "paces" then collapses to the floor crying and she looks up at me like a dying man crossing the desert!
What she actually wants to do is walk (which she can't) but we spend hours walking her up and down the flat - she likes to go into every room over and over again. She does this literally all day (thank god I have a job to go to...)
I'm assuming she wants to bypass the crawling stage and wants to go straight to walking but isn't able to walk yet (she still needs both hands held).
I'm not really worried about her being late with all this (though she is) as she was 1 month prem and I think had more delays than she was given credit for as she seemed so robust (7lbs 12!). And obviously it's fine if she doesn't crawl as I'm assuming she'll learn to walk within the next couple of months. Just wondering about the crying while crawling - is she just frustrated?
