Bum wiping!

At what age should children be able to wipe themselves fully after having a number 2? My son is 4 and a half and wipes himself but asks me to check he's done a good job which I do. My partner thinks he should be able to do it himself fully without any help. But I feel he's quite young? How old were your children when they did this? Smile

Has your partner got masses of experience of young children and bum wiping which he is using to compare? Smile

I think it was about 6 before DS was reliable.

They need to be able to do it themselves for when they start school. However, although they can actually do it themselves you should expect to be shouted to do it for them at home for a while if anything like my daughter! Wink
