18 month Scratching herself

Hi, my 18 month old daughter has recently started scratching herself. I trim her nails to keep them as short but she has started scratching her tummy when changing a nappy, back of her legs, even scratching when she’s in the bath and being cleaned.
It’s leaving unsightly red marks on her skin so any tips or products that can help her stop?

Have you spoken to the GP to rule out any conditions? If you can try and narrow down what might be causing it. We are using some baby Aveeno soothing emollient on our DD 5 months which has worked so well for chronic scratching (we think it was overly dry skin combined with sweat/dribble rash - GP was totally useless in our case). Also try putting mits/socks on her hands in the bath so she can’t scratch with her nails
