Hi my LO is 5 months old, the last 2 days he has started kicking off as soon as we start the bedtime routine, also he now refuses to go in his cot which he has always slept in, as soon as I put him down he becomes hysterical, if he's asleep when I put him down he wakes up after 2 mins and goes into a frenzy, I'm not sure if he's started to get reflux as he hates being on his back, even on the changing mat, does anyone have any advice as it's got to me and my husband taking it in shifts to hold him whilst the other sleeps!?!?

Any advice very much welcome!

If it's new, could he be unwell or have you started solids?

Have you had a look or feel to see if he has any teeth coming through?

@JiltedJohnsJulie
We have checked if he's unwell but he seems to be ok for the rest of the day, we have started weaning but we did this a couple weeks ago and he's only seem to be having trouble now so am unsure if it's that

Well he's sucking on his bottom lip like there's no tomorrow but I can't see or feel teeth, last night was awful too, he wouldn't settle for hours so eventually because he was so exhausted in slept in bed with me just so we could get some sleep!

I'd try him with a dose of ibruprofen. If he's better after that, you'll know it's because he was feeling unwell Smile
