My daughter up to now has been a well behaved baby, only cries when something is up... these last 3 days all she has done has throw tantrums, Any advice on how to handle these as she is still so young?

Try and anticipate what might set her off and pre empt, distract her with something different/ funny/asking a question/ going to window to suddenly spot something! If it develops too quickly for this to work, stay calmly nearby -on her level - but let it take its course with the odd reassuring word every few mins- she might not like being held ( constrained) or even touched - but be ready with a cuddle and lots of reassurance when the tantrum seems to be ebbing..

If it's very new and sudden, I'd take her temperature and see if she's doing anything like rubbing her ears or cutting teeth.
